GeoBase has full support for Points of Interest (POIs). Generally, GeoBase ships with a base set of POIs provided by the data provider; these are divided up into categories such as restaurants, gas stations, etc. GeoBase contains native methods (found in the DataQuery namespace) for searching for POIs based on name, category or proximity to a location.
Additional POIs can be imported into the GeoBase using the Alchemy tool.
