Localization & International: Overview of Alchemy, Babel, Chameleon & Translation
Alchemy, Babel, and Chameleon, are GeoBase tools that allow new and existing applications to accurately import a wider range of content-rich, international data sets and to present this data using local cartographic symbols and conventions suited to the user's task. Babel, for example, contains patent pending technology that allows you to easily incorporate a geocoder within an application that is finely tuned to reflect the nuances of a particular addressing representation. Throughout this presentation you will see and hear about these and other benefits that you will have when you use these GeoBase tools to develop applications.

Moving to Mobile: An Overview of the Navigation SDK
The GeoBase Navigation SDK allows you to add valuable spatial features to your new and existing mobile applications. This session will introduce the functionality available and show how the toolkit approach can be leveraged to complement and extend your application's featureset. You will be given a tour of the SDK, starting with simple mapping, geocoding and navigation, and moving on to advanced features such as truck attributes, traffic, and the ability to leverage third party data to benefit your end users.

Spatial Databases and Mapping – "The Neverending Story" Learn about the history of automation in cartography and the development of GIS. Hear first-hand how integrated, seamless, street level spatial databases created the sea-level-change that shaped modern routing, navigation, mapping on the Internet and Location Based Services. Understand all aspects of the revolution including mapping’s most visible, annoying and expensive problems that continue to revolve around issues of data accuracy and the inadequate state of data quality, data comprehensiveness, data coverage and data currentness. This session will cover the reasons for these limitations, discuss what is being done about resolving them and debate whether the users of our map-related products might be able to push the industry forward.

Scheduling & Dispatching: Route Matrix, Traffic
The GeoBase SDK provides a rich set of tools that enable enterprises to realize significant cost savings by optimizing the scheduling of jobs and dispatching of field service resources. This session will explore the nature of these problems, then provide examples of how you can apply different features of GeoBase to realize operational efficiencies that translate to real ROI.

Utilities & Municipalities - Gain a competitive advantage by leveraging with 3rd party data
Learn how to leverage your (or your client's) investment in custom spatial data. GIS systems were designed and have evolved as data creation and maintenance tools; GeoBase offers a means to make that data available to more users via applications designed for superior speed and scalability. This session will cover the Alchemy toolkit used for data import, a discussion of data quality considerations, and examples of how 3rd party data can be used within applications built using GeoBase.

Integrating with OnTrack
OnTrack is a web-based location platform that supports integrations via SOAP web services. OnTrack also supports private labels and location data from any device via the Distributor API. For companies wanting to move fast (requiring rapid application development), leveraging the OnTrack platform may be the quickest route to market. Join us as we review OnTrack capabilities and perform a couple sample integrations. We will also review how OnTrack leverages GeoStream in a web environment.

New Regions: starting from scratch - from nothing to Navigation & Routing in 75 minutes
Join us as we use the rich GeoBase toolkit to go from raw data to working application in under 75 minutes. Starting with a handful of shapefiles, we use Alchemy to create a usable dataset. From there, we construct a basic desktop navigation application with address search capabilities and full voice announcements. We personalize the appearance of our maps using Chameleon Workbench, and optimize the map experience for mobile. And finally, we port the application to mobile and deploy it to a real device, ready for the drive home. See the workflows involved in mobile development, and learn about the broad range of tools available in the GeoBase suite.

AJAX: the Javascript API in detail
The GeoBase Javascript API provides you with the tools you need to meet and exceed users' ever increasing expectations of functionality and performance. In this session we explore the latest generation of the GeoBase Javascript API, which introduces a simplified framework without sacrificing functionality. Learn the benefits of using Javascript in your application, and see how GeoBase can help you truly enrich your user experience. See how to perform geospatial queries using GeoStream, and present the results through rich, interactive interfaces. At the end of this session, we are sure you will be excited about the possibilities for your application.

Back-Office Performance: GBTx and Unmanaged API in detail
Behind the scenes computing places the highest demands on performance, scalability and reliability. GeoBase provides tools to help you meet these demands, and the new GeoBase Transactional (GBTx) is the latest addition to give you more of an edge. GBTx provides updateable storage for your spatial data, with an emphasis on rapid retrieval. In this session you will see first hand the power of GBTx and other technologies to enable your systems to perform, scale, and do so reliably.

Silverlight 2.0: get the details
Silverlight allows developers already familiar with .NET to dive right into creating web applications using familiar tools. In this demonstration we will show you how easy it is to get up and running with Silverlight by creating an application from scratch that can display maps, find addresses and route between map locations. We will then demonstrate how this application can be integrated into an existing web application, ready for use.

Spatial Concepts: High Performance Spatial Development & Design
Geospatial platforms offer development tools to use spatial data. No matter how efficient these tools (such as GeoBase) are there are many other important parts of a system and ways to use a tool to achieve a high throughput spatial system. This session explores how Telogis develops and views these systems, where bottle necks occur and how GeoBase and good system design can remove these issues. Learn best practices for optimizing and managing your environment.
