GeoStream is a set of technologies that delivers GeoBase functionally
over the internet.
GeoStream consists of an integrated server, and either a java-script
or .NET client. Using emerging technologies like AJAX and JSON remotely,
GeoStream provides performance equal to
or better than a thick-client solution delivered over the web to a number of
different development environments, languages and targets.
GeoStream .NET uses the same API as the core GeoBase
library. This allows companies to
develop from a single code base and deploy the map data and GeoBase engine
either remotely or locally depending on the customer’s requirements.
GeoBase JS is a JavaScript framework that contains all of
the function calls of the core GeoBase engine. Developers can access the full
spectrum of GeoBase functionality, in a browser environment – creating
AJAX-based Web2.0 applications.

GeoBase is a native .NET TM component that can be bundled into a client-side application.
- Minimal resource requirements - GeoBase brings data into memory as needed and purges as resources become used. Processor intensive functions such as anti-aliasing and labeling can be controlled to optimize performance on lower-end machines.
- Easy-to-deploy - The
GeoBase file system allows you to mix-and-match data sets depending on customers requirements. For packaging with your application, only a couple of .dlls and the map data are required. This also facilitates versioning support for your application.
- .net control - The GeoBase SDK includes a .net map control that installs into a .net development environment (such as Visual Studio) GUI editor, allowing you to drop a full-functioning map control onto your application form.
- Mobile Support - The same GeoBase API functions on mobile devices. Performance and resource requirements are designed around the limitations of embedded devices.

GeoBase is designed for scalability in high-transaction count environments.
- Stable - GeoBase servers have run through tens of millions of transactions without a fault.
- Compact - The
GeoBase file system compresses over 20 GB of street data for the US & Canada down to ~1.8GB allowing the entire data set to be loaded into local memory.
- Fast - The data indexes and function calls are all designed for fast response times.
- Adaptive - GeoBase is able to utilize as much available resource as possible, but can just as easily operate in resource-constrained environments.
